Imceda Announces Release Of SQL Secure(TM) Software; Pro-Actively Alerts On Changes to SQL Server Database

BURLINGTON, Mass., March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Imceda(TM) Software, Inc., the leading provider of database administration and development products, today introduced SQL Secure(TM) for Microsoft SQL 7.0, 2005 & 2000 which provides automatic email and SNMP alerts to database administrators (DBAs) of any changes to the structure of their SQL Server database. Supported platforms include Windows 2000 and 2003 database systems.

Through its consolidated view of the enterprise, SQL Secure compares previous views of a database object and the new view of the object in relationship to the change. SQL Secure also informs administrators, through an SMTP client, of the object name that was deleted and what it contained and the object that was added and its current contents. By allowing the DBA to see what changed when and where, SQL Secure adds a level of verification previously unavailable to any SQL Server Database as well as the ability to off-load audit changes to a remote system.

"In a time where the dialogue on information security is reaching fever-pitch, SQL Secure is all about Change Management Verification - enabling database administrators to know, as soon as possible, when something in the database structure has changed and possibly compromised the integrity of the entire database," said Douglas Chrystall, Imceda's founder and chief technology officer. "SQL Secure is a tool that substantially ratchets up Imceda's response in delivering products for the SQL marketplace that save time, are proactive, and capable of securing sensitive data."

SQL Secure will begin shipping on April 15, 2005. About Imceda
